The Philippine Federation of Local Councils of Women serves as the national coordinating body of all local councils of women nationwide. Our organization is recognized by the Department of Interior and Local Government (DILG) by virtue of DILG Memorandum Circular No.2006-125 in the creation of Local Councils of Women or LCWs which was strengthened by the MOA of DILG and PFLCW on July 10, 2012.
To date, PFLCW has a total membership of about 500 Local Councils of Women (LCWs) composed of more than 500,000 women. It recognizes nation building in support of Article 14 of the Philippine Constitution. It aims to empower women from localities up to the grassroot level.
